Mrs.Tymoshenko said that a tape in which she used the term “wiping out” of President Vladimir Putin and the Russians is a montage.
She said that certain observations have been labored but confirms that it is her voice.
“This really crosses all the boundaries,” she said on Youtube and on Russian television news on Monday.
“One has to take up arms and go wipe out these damn ‘katsaps’ together with their leader,” the voice said in Russian. It did not mention President Putin by name.
The word ‘katsap’ is an offensive Ukrainian term for Russians.
The conversation held by Mrs. Tymoshenko was about Russia taking power of Ukraine russian-speaking peninsula of Crimea with Ukrainian MP and former government official Nestor Shufrych.
Tymoshenko has spent the last three years in jail. After the fall of president Viktor Yanukovich she was released. Her followers say that those are governmentally motivated accusations. They stated that if she was in command Moscow would not be able to take the peninsula.
“I am sorry that I am not able to be there and am not in charge of these processes, they wouldn’t have had a fucking chance of getting Crimea off me.”
“I would have found a way to finish off these bastards.”
“I am hoping that I will use all my connections and will get the whole world to rise up so that not even scorched earth would be left of Russia.”
Speaking about the predetermined course of Ukraine’s ethnic russians, Tymoshenko was witnessed expressing the word “nuked”.
Russian supporters in eastern Ukraine fight amid each other.
There was the release of the photos of the “most wanted” from the demontrations. The governement has jailed various people. One of them is Andrei Khudyakov, who is a popular revolutionary from Moscow. He went away from the city and it is well-known that at least three russian inhabitants have been refused access.
Pro-Russian riots have also advanced in neighboring Kharkiv and the southern province of Luhansk. “We are standing up against fascists who want Ukraine without the Russians,” said Lilila Kardasheva, a housewife. “If Vladimir Putin came on this stage in Donetsk, we would be with him to the end of our days.” Mr Donia, a Ukrainian man, told The Telegraph that he escaped after menace on his life. “I had to go away because I was being followed and somedoby took a potshot at my car,” he said via phone. “There are Fascists in Donetsk and people on our side that are willing to kill.”
Tymoshenko confirmed the truthness of the phone call but said that the passage about the 8 million Russians was a “montage”.
“In fact I said: ‘Russians in Ukraine are Ukraininans. Cheers to FSB,” she said, indicating the Russian security service who she undoubtedly thinks were behind the spying of the phone call.
